Current status
ExploreNorden is currently ad-free. No Google AdSense publisher code or display-ad placements are active. Restaurant, attraction and destination source links do not currently pay ExploreNorden.
If display advertising is introduced
Any future advertising would be kept separate from editorial cards and recommendation results and clearly labelled before it appears. This disclosure and the privacy notice would be updated before advertising technology is activated.
If affiliate links are introduced
Each commission-earning link and its connected content will be clearly identified before the visitor clicks, using direct wording such as “Ad · affiliate link—we may earn a commission”. A generic footer disclaimer will not be used as a substitute for labelling the relevant link.
Sponsorships, hosted visits and gifts
Any paid collaboration, hosted stay, gifted experience or other material relationship will be disclosed prominently in the affected content. The disclosure will describe the relationship in plain language. Partners will not receive editorial approval rights over independent conclusions.
Ranking independence
Payment cannot buy a higher destination score, preferred map position, restaurant inclusion or favourable factual treatment. If a future comparison includes a paid placement, that placement will be separated and labelled rather than blended into the editorial ranking.
Supporter funding
Any optional supporter membership will fund the guide without changing public editorial rankings or placing core safety information behind payment.
