ExploreNorden is an independent travel-guide project operated from Norway. The site provides editorial destination information, comparison tools, automated trip suggestions and itinerary outlines without requiring an account or payment.

No booking or agency relationship
ExploreNorden is not a travel agent, tour operator, booking platform, insurer, transport provider or representative of a listed venue. External links are provided for research and verification. Any transaction or arrangement you make with a third party is governed by that party’s terms and privacy notice.
Travel information and safety
Suggestions, maps, driving times, budgets, aurora scores, daylight estimates, hiking grades, seasonal descriptions and itineraries are general planning aids. They are not live navigation, weather, avalanche, medical, legal, visa, financial or emergency advice.
Verify current opening times, access, prices, permits, road and ferry conditions, visa requirements, insurance, official warnings and weather before acting. Match outdoor plans to your skills, equipment and current local conditions. In an emergency, contact the relevant local emergency service.
Automated suggestions
Recommendation percentages and itinerary text are generated from your selections using fixed matching rules and editorial records. They are not objective probabilities, expert assessments or guarantees. Use your own judgement and verify consequential details with current official sources.
Accuracy and availability
ExploreNorden aims to use credible, visible sources, but travel information changes and errors may occur. The service may be corrected, changed, suspended or withdrawn. No representation is made that every page, external link or tool will always be available or error-free.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with availability, submit malicious code, scrape at a level that harms the service, or use its content in a misleading or unlawful way. Ordinary personal browsing, sharing and trip planning are welcome.
Content and intellectual property
ExploreNorden’s original selection, writing, design and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Source materials, photographs, maps, trademarks and linked content remain the property of their respective owners and are credited or linked where applicable.
Responsibility and liability
To the extent permitted by law, ExploreNorden is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on outdated information, third-party acts or services, weather, closures, transport disruption, outdoor hazards or circumstances beyond reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or mandatory consumer rights.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by Norwegian law, without removing any mandatory consumer protection that applies where you live. Material revisions will be shown by changing the effective date.
