What we publish

The guide brings together activities, scenic drives, museums, restaurants, outdoor experiences, indoor fallbacks and points of interest. AI helps organise that information around a traveller’s interests, pace and season; it does not replace source checking.

How automation is used

Despite the “AI-powered” description used for the broader product concept, the current public trip finder does not send answers to a third-party generative-AI model. It uses deterministic matching rules and editorial data, while the itinerary tool uses fixed templates. Automated outputs are labelled as suggestions and must be checked before use.

If a generative-AI provider is introduced, ExploreNorden will disclose that interaction, the provider’s role and the relevant data practices before activation. AI may assist organisation and drafting, but accountable editorial review remains required for published factual claims.

Sources and review

Historical notes and individual place ideas link to official tourism organisations, museums, public bodies or the venue’s own current information. Source links are provided for verification, not as endorsements or commercial referrals.

Every city guide carries two visible references: an official destination source for visitor information and a separate municipal, museum, university or UNESCO source for stable factual context. The full 50-city source set was link-checked in July 2026.

Information changes

Opening times, access, prices, transport, visa rules, weather and safety conditions can change. Check important details with the relevant official source before travelling and follow current local guidance when outdoors.

Map positions, route estimates, aurora scores, daylight figures, budget ranges and hiking estimates are orientation tools—not live navigation, forecasts, safety assessments or professional advice.

Advertising and independence

The current site contains reserved, non-clickable display-ad spaces but no live advertising, affiliate links, sponsorships or paid placements. If advertising is activated, it will be labelled “Advertisement” and kept visually separate from guide content. Affiliate links will be identified beside the relevant link before a visitor engages with it.

Advertisers and commercial partners cannot buy a destination recommendation, city ranking, restaurant mention, factual claim or favourable editorial coverage. Commercial relationships and material conflicts will be disclosed prominently.

Corrections and feedback

If a source has changed or a factual statement appears wrong, contact hello@explorenorden.com. Material corrections will be made without allowing a venue, advertiser or tourism organisation to suppress fair editorial context.
